Yeah? We met in '37, I was a real fan of his work with Snow White, and the machine he built to get the depth in the scenes.
Then he helped out with a lot of the Captain America shorts that were aired before the features.
He was meant to help with a full-length feature film on Cap, too, but then Cap went off and got properly involved so that was on hold.
I gave him some pointers on Victory Through Air Power, too, since I was the forerunner in military aeronautics for the US.
He's got cute kids, too. I built a little pedal-plane for Sharon as her Christmas present in 42.

I worry I'm setting myself up for failure since I haven't seen it before.

Sort of? Not quite, but if you wanted to twist it that way you could.
There were cartoons about him, and comic books too.
Captain America was the result of a project I worked on during the war called Project Rebirth. Meant to elevate men, to make them stronger, faster, healthier etc. All the things you needed for good soldiers that would win the war.
We were only able to give it to one person, however, a man named Steve Rogers, before the creator of the serum he was given was murdered. My role in it was to build a machine that controlled and enhanced a form of radiation we called VitaRays.
Captain America became a symbol for the nation, first just at the home front for promoting war bonds and whatnot, the main investors of the project didn't want to lose him by sending him to the front, but then when he was doing a show in France, he learned that the division his best friend was in had been captured by the enemy.
I flew him into enemy territory, he rescued them and brought them back, and ended up forming a group called the Howling Commandos, who focused mainly on taking down the Nazi's scientific research branch called HYDRA.
I've asked for my files on Project Rebirth, if I get them, I'd be happy to show you.

No. The uniform was part of the USO show he was in, and I guess he got attached to it.
