No, I know I'm not, but it doesn't help feeling like one. My greatest skills from home aren't applicable here. Ideas I've had, I've looked some of them up and some of them have been realised, but then they've been taken miles beyond anything I could think up. I'd say I'd never blown up anything before, but we both know that would be a lie. But I wasn't even trying to do any sort of experiment. I should have known to not put metal in it. I just wasn't thinking. And then the alarm went off and I panicked.

At least you have skills that can be used across time. I have nothing.

Howard. You're hardly useless. Do you think such things would have been developed in the time they were if people like you had not tried your own experiments and inventions to begin with. Great strides do not happen all at once. They happen because generation after generation have worked towards them.

As for the microwave explosion, everybody makes mistakes, even Howard Stark. Perhaps your thoughts were somewhat preoccupied?

Here I am. Any idea I could possibly think up has probably already been thought up, or made better, or made useless because something bigger or better has already been made. This place is peaceful, so it's not like my other area of expertise is much use here, either. I'm not saying I don't do good at home. I know I do. But what can I do here? People talk, or I read things, and it's all like a foreign language.

But that aside, you're still a businessman, and a charismatic one at that. I'm certain there is something you could do. And there is still the matter of the agreement you made in coming here. Could you not focus on that?

Harry, a kid I met, he mentioned starting a club. Like, a nightclub. The Stork Club, if I have a say, but I'm not sure where that's going yet. Maybe business hasn't changed as much, but I feel like those who know who I am expect more.

They're not paying me cash to hug people, Jarvis.

It seemed to me that there was a possibility that the two of you are on...intimate terms.

A club certainly sounds like something you might do. And I hardly see how other's expectations come into play. Do any of those people actually know you? Or just the you that you project to others?

I could at least model it after what I know. There are very few who know me the way you and Peg do, so it's easy to guess. I still don't want to disappoint.

If you don't want to, then you won't. I'm quite certain of that. Once you put your mind to something there is very little that stops you.

I feel like I already have. I can't even work a microwave and have a panic attack from a fire alarm.

I hardly doubt anyone was let down by that. In fact, much to my disappointment, I believe some people took it as inspiration.
